Ms. Anju Parthasarathy is a Counselling Psychologist who believes that everyone deserves a safe space where they can feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. She has experience in working with individuals experiencing concerns related to anxiety, depression, stress, loneliness, relationships, marital concerns, life transitions, and personal growth. Her primary approach is person-centred, with her practice also informed by Humanistic, Existential, Gestalt, and Psychodynamic perspectives. She believes that every individual has a unique story, and counselling should provide the space to explore that story at their own pace. A core value that guides her practice is belongingness. She believes that feeling connected, accepted, and understood is an important part of emotional well-being. She aims to create a counselling space where individuals can feel safe to express themselves, explore their experiences, and be accepted for who they are. She values empathy, genuineness, unconditional positive regard, equity, and kindness in the therapeutic relationship. Inspired by the principles of Carl Rogers, she believes that when individuals experience acceptance and genuine understanding, they can develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and the confidence to create meaningful changes in their lives. Her aim is to provide a space where individuals can feel that they belong, relate, and be themselves, while working towards greater self-awareness, emotional well-being, resilience, and meaningful change.
