Learning Difficulties
Children may experience difficulties with reading, writing, spelling, mathematics, concentration, or general
academic performance for a variety of reasons. Our counselling and supportive interventions aim to understand the
child’s individual difficulties rather than focusing only on academic outcomes. Support may include building
confidence, improving study habits, strengthening motivation, and developing practical coping strategies.
Emotional responses such as frustration, anxiety, shame, or low self-esteem are also considered. Parents can receive
guidance on creating supportive learning routines and responding constructively to academic challenges. The goal is
to help children develop confidence and healthier approaches to learning while supporting their educational and
emotional development.
ADHD(Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Difficulties)
Children with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity difficulties may experience challenges at home, in school, and
in social situations. Our psychological support focuses on understanding the child’s individual strengths and
difficulties and developing practical strategies for improved functioning. Support may target attention, self-control,
emotional regulation, organization, routines, and problem-solving skills. Parents are guided in using consistent and
supportive strategies across home and school environments where appropriate. The emphasis is on strengthening
skills and reducing distress rather than labeling the child by difficulties alone. Our aim is to help children function
with greater confidence while supporting parents in creating an understanding and structured environment.
Autism Spectrum Support
Parents of children on the autism spectrum may need support in understanding communication, behaviour,
emotional regulation, routines, and individual developmental needs. Our parent guidance service provides a
supportive space to discuss practical challenges and identify strategies that fit the child and family. Guidance may
focus on communication, behaviour management, predictable routines, emotional support, and creating a more
supportive home environment. Parents are encouraged to recognize and build upon the child’s strengths while
responding thoughtfully to areas of difficulty. The service also aims to reduce parental stress and improve
confidence in day-to-day caregiving. The overall goal is to strengthen understanding, communication, and
supportive family functioning.
